Dear East Chicago Residents,
Winter is right around the corner, and the East Chicago Public Works Department is hard at work updating our 2026–2027 Snow Operations Plan to help keep our streets safe and accessible throughout the winter season.
Our updated plan will be available on this page no later than November 1, 2026, providing residents with important information about snow removal operations, routes, and winter weather procedures. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we prepare for the upcoming winter season.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact our office at (219) 391-8463. We're always happy to assist!
Stay safe, stay informed, and let's work together for a successful winter season!
Sincerely,
East Chicago Public Works Department
