The East Chicago City Hall Parking Lot will undergo construction starting September 30th• A new sewer system, concrete curb/ gutter, and new asphalt will be installed. The parking lot will be closed while under construction until November 8th• City staff and personnel will park in the 4444 Railroad parking lot until construction is finished. Individuals coming to City Hall for business will be allowed to park in the Heritage Hall parking lot. See the second page for an alternative walking route. | | Temporary Road Closure | TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE
On Monday, February 3, 2020, a 16” water main was compromised in the areas of Guthrie Avenue and Michigan Avenue causing emergency road closures within those areas. As a result, the following roadways will be temporarily closed until the emergency repairs to the water main are completed:
· Cline Avenue Ramp to Michigan Avenue
· Roadways in the vicinity of Guthrie Avenue and Michigan Avenue near 3350 Michigan Avenue, East Chicago, IN
The following are recommendations on alternative routes for truck and vehicular traffic:
Coming from Cline Avenue:
· Cline North/South to Columbus Drive West to Euclid Avenue
· Euclid Avenue heading North to Michigan Avenue
· Michigan Avenue heading East to Dickey Road
Coming from Dicky Road:
· Dickey Road South to Michigan Avenue
· Michigan Avenue West to Euclid Avenue South to Columbus Drive or Chicago Avenue; or
· Michigan Avenue West to Kennedy Avenue South to Chicago Avenue
