4. What are the payment hours?

Payments can be made Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. On Thursday payments can be made from 8:30 am to 6:30 pm.

5. What payment types do you accept?

The Clerk's office accepts cash, money order, debit or credit card payment. No personal check are accepted. All cash bond have to be posted in CASH ONLY.

6. How do I pay online?

If you would like to pay online, use the following link to view the Clerk's website. We currently use MuniciPAY as our credit/debit card vendor. You MUST know your case number and EXACT amount that you owe to pay online.

7. Are there fees to make payments online?

Yes, our vendor charges for a service fee for credit/debit card payments.

8. How much is the service?

The amount of the service fee is dependent on the amount that you are paying. Prior to completing the payment you will be informed of the service fee.

9. Do you take payments over the phone?

No, the only payment options are to come into the office or pay online.

10. How do I turn myself in on a warrant/bench warrant?

If you have bond, you can turn yourself in the East Chicago Police Department. You will have to post the bond and you will be given a new court date on your bond receipt.

If you do not have a bond you will be held until the next available court date.

If you want to turn yourself in and go to court the same day, you can turn yourself in the East Chicago Police Department any Monday, Wednesday or Friday before 6:00 am. On Thursday you have to turn yourself in before 11:00 am.
