EAST CHICAGO DEPARTMENT OF REDEVELOPMENT OFFERS WORKSHOPS
East Chicago, IN---The City of East Chicago’s Department of Redevelopment will host free educational workshops for first-time homebuyers on the following Thursdays beginning July 31, August 7, 14, and 28.

“It’s very important the departments are proactive and we have great resources to work,” said Lyvette Turk, program manager. “These workshops will benefit residents and give them the opportunities to learn about the programs available to them offered by the city.

The topics to be discussed include budgeting, savings, purchasing, home closing, maintenance, credit and loan information. The workshops will be held at Healthy East Chicago, 100 W. Chicago Avenue from 6-8:00 PM. Upon completion of workshops facilitated by Consumer Counseling Service, certificates will be rewarded.
