READY START RUN!
National Alliance Youth Sports Program – is a character- building running program that trains kids to participate in a 5K run. This curriculum based program equips kids with the physical training and goal- setting mentality needed to accomplish their running goals. Issues like enhanced confidence and nutrition are covered under the session. Above all, kids have a blast seeing what they are capable
of achieving!
Children will gain goal points throughout this program, children’s main goal will be to compete in East Chicago’s 5-k Run/ Walk in September. Children from all
community centers will begin an exercise and running program designed to strengthen legs and build endurance. Children who complete the requirements of the program will earn a special field trip this fall. Including prizes along the way;
trophy for their center, and a signed certificate by Mayor Anthony Copeland. We hope that the children who begin this program learn the tools to live healthier lives by walking or running. (children must complete the entire program)
This program will be offered in all community centers… Let’s get running!
