Our mission:

To inform the community of city programs so that they may have a better quality of life while highlighting and promoting positive community events through various media outlets and to provide students valuable skills in related fields through Mayor George Pabey's College Internship media Program.

Duties:

• Maintain and operate the East Chicago Government Channel.
  
• Film and edit city, school and community events for broadcasting. (Restrictions may apply)
  
• Provide copies of videos (request must be made at the Controller's office).
• Coordinate all sound and video events, including but not limited to,
  celebrations, public meetings, ground breakings, and press conferences..
  
• Create advertisements and promote all city events through flyers banners, email, television and radio and direct mail if possible.
• Provide graphic support for all department, logos, architectural concepts, flyer. 
• Create & maintain www.eastchicago.com
• Provide visual concepts, floor plans, designs and creation of decorations for events and assist with the events.
• Produce the Mayor's State of the City event.
• Produce a monthly calendar of events.
• Take photos at all city events.
• Assist the Mayor's Office when needed.
